Conferences and Seminars with 2GC Participation

Balanced Scorecard 2008

25th - 26th March 2008 - Dubai, UAE

This is a two-day forum for current or intended users of the Balanced Scorecard framework in the Middle East. Taking the form of a series of in-depth case studies presented by managers from Middle East organisations who have implemented and used the approach, this is a chance to hear about twelve practical examples of implementation from those who carried out the work. In keeping with 2GC's excellent track-record within the region, three of the organisations presenting have worked with 2GC to develop their Balanced Scorecard implementations.

In addition, you can hear 2GC's Chris Bragg present a session called "Successfully Implementing Strategic Activity: Project Portfolio Management - the missing link"

For more information contact us at info@2gc.co.uk or visit the IIR Middle East web site.

The 2008 Annual Meeting of the Production and Operations Management Society

9th - 12th May, La Jolla, California, USA

2GC's first contribution to the annual POMS conference was in 2001 - one of our earliest research papers (if you are interested, read it here). Seven years later, older and wiser we're back! (The delightful weather to be found in La Jolla in May of course has no bearing at all on our choice of this conference...). This year we are entering two papers, one called “Managing everything, managing nothing - design creep in the creation of Balanced Scorecards”, the other “Performance Management Systems - a typology of design processes”. Both are being written by Michael Shulver and Gavin Lawrie.

For more information contact us at info@2gc.co.uk or visit the POMS Conference web site.

2008 International European Operations Management Association Conference
15th - 18th June, 2008, Groningen, The Netherlands

Like the POMS conference, the Euroma annual conference is a bit of a fixture in the calendar for some researchers. 2GC have not entered a paper to this conference before, but this year we are entering one called “A process perspective on Balanced Scorecard failure”. This paper is being written by Gavin Lawrie and Michael Shulver.
